About this Event

Grant Writing 101

Gore Meadows Community Centre, Community Room 3

The grant writing process is complex and requires a structured approach with focused objectives. In our workshops, you will learn the basics on grant writing and the submission process. At the completion of the workshop, you will be able to identify potential sources of grants, write a compelling needs statement, develop sustainability strategies, prepare a budget plan, source supporting material, understand the grant writing cycle, and organize the grant package for final submission.

About the Instructor: Frank Miele

As a senior municipal staff member for 35 years, Frank assisted many local businesses to expand their operations by guiding them through the development process and government incentives programs. For the past 10 years he has volunteered with several local not-for-profit organizations by helping them develop and submit grant applications.

Frank is the academic coordinator and instructor at Ryerson University Local Economic Development Certificate program.
