Brainstrusts are a space for sharing ideas and receiving candid feedback from peers and leaders. Torre has been running weekly braintrusts for several years. It’s time we share the experience with the whole world!

At each event, we’ll have a company presenting their latest project and receiving feedback from a varied group of five advisors. At this first event, BookCrate will present the project they designed for the Social Innovation Days hackathon held Torre Social two weeks ago.

Advisors will give feedback on design, product, marketing, and from a tech point of view. There will be a space to ask questions of the presenters and advisors. Finally, there will be room for networking before and after the event.

At Torre, we want to make work fulfilling for everyone. We are movers and shakers who have a fierce determination to pursue big, hairy, audacious goals, which is why we hire entrepreneurs. We believe entrepreneurs have an innate inclination to do whatever it takes to succeed and a passion for taking calculated risks.

How are Presenters chosen?

For the first two events, we have personally selected the projects that will be presented. For future projects, we will receive proposals via our email. We are looking for projects that are ok with sharing an idea and receiving candid feedback. Ideally, the project should have already taken a few steps before presenting in order to show results and a clear hypothesis.

How are Advisors chosen?

Advisors for the first two events have been chosen by the organizers. For future events, we will receive proposals via our email. We are looking for advisors who are experts at what they do in different areas: Marketing, Design, Product, Growth, Engineering, etc.

Can the Audience interact with the Presenters and Advisors during the event?

No. The audience can listen to the whole session and provide questions via the Q&A section. We will have a few minutes to answer the best questions. The rest of the questions will be answered throughout the rest of the week via social media.
