La Cocina is excited to welcome back long-time volunteer, Allison Ball for her "Brains of the Buyer" workshop next month. "Brains of the Buyer" helps producers understand the thought process of wholesale buyers: why they choose particular products to carry and why they pass on others; how they price them; the strategy behind re-ordering, merchandising, and promoting them; and how to convince those retail accounts to say "Yes!" to carrying their products.
Alli helps producers increase their wholesale presence through her one-on-one consulting and online group classes. Prior to launching her consulting business, Alli was Head of Grocery & Store Manager at Bi-Rite Market, where she supported and promoted many small food businesses. In addition to volunteering at La Cocina, Alli gives her time to other food-focused Bay Area non-profits through teaching at The Food Craft Institute, acting as a Captain for Kitchen Table Advisors, and as Founding Chair of the Pantry Committee for The Good Food Awards.
Please join us for an evening of education and discussion, and leave with a greater understanding of how to get your products on the grocery shelf!
