Event description

Description

After dazzling SPM audiences and players with his elevated music-making and flawless technique, we’re thrilled to have rising violin superstar Inmo Yang back for the beloved Brahms Concerto, performed on the very same Stradivarius violin used at the work’s premiere in 1879! Deemed by Wagner as the “apotheosis of the dance” and considered by Beethoven to be one of his greatest works, members of SPM will delight in playing his towering 7th Symphony and sharing its ebullient spirit with you. To begin our “Three B’s” concert and to bless our season, as Pablo Casals would have said, is Stokowski’s loving orchestration of Bach favorite Sheep May Safely Graze.

Johann Sebastian Bach/Leopold Stokowski • Sheep May Safely Graze

Ludwig van Beethoven • Symphony No.7

Johannes Brahms • Violin Concerto Inmo Yang, violin

Pre-concert talk 6:45-7:15 pm
