Event description

Description

What are the biggest global challenges we are facing today? How could those directly or indirectly impact our business and private life in the future?

At the dawn of the fourth industrial revolution technological advances, digitalization and robotization are in the focus of all major discussions, however challenges are significantly different geographically.

What role can women play in driving the forthcoming changes? It is undoubted that overall gender equality contributes to higher economic growth and improves living conditions. So what is the situation in terms of gender equality in Europe, in the United States and in the emerging parts of the world?

Judit Kozenkow is going to discuss these issues with a pinch of personal excitement and enthusiasm for economics. She will talk us through her personal journey of being a diplomat's wife that equals frequent interruptions in a career path. Realizing that, she decided not to give up her passions and started thinking differently: realizing projects! She will introduce a couple of interesting ventures for the audience, including the Boardroom Diversity project of Johns Hopkins University, Washington DC, and recent research experiences with African countries at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).

Judit holds a Ph.D. in Economics and has 8 years of experience in the field of international economics. She has worked in different positions and developed skills through teaching, research and project management. She participated in the Women in the Boardroom project and worked in the financial sector at the biggest Hungarian bank. Currently she teaches at Webster University of Geneva and EU Business School, conducts research at Graduate Institute, and works as a consultant at UNCTAD's Trade, Gender and Development Program. She lived and worked in Hungary and in the United States and moved to Geneva in early 2016. She is passionate about running, yoga and tennis. She loves dancing salsa. She is also a certified sommelier. Being fit, healthy and dynamic are her guiding principles.

Join us for a terrific evening of networking and learning at the BPW-Lake Geneva Club monthly meeting!
