The Mission of the Office of Emergency Services (OES) is to coordinate the unified and efficient use of City resources, outside agencies (mutual aid), and community resources to prevent, to prepare for, to respond to, and to recover from all hazards.
This course is an introduction to the Block Preparedness Coordinator (BPC) Program and includes Neighborhood Watch training. The Block Preparedness Program is a component of the Palo Alto Emergency Services Volunteer Program sponsored by the Office of Emergency Services. The BPC Program is relevant not only in a disaster but everyday activities. This class is open to the public.
