Event description

Description

The Black Psychiatrists of America invites you to attend a dinner and lecture on Adult ADHD as a part of its national education program "Get Your Chek Up From The Neck Up" designed to provide education in the diagnosis and treatment of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adult populations which often goes unrecognized and untreated in this population group. This is especially true in African Americans and other underserved ethnic minority groups. Co-morbidities (alcoholism, substance use disorders, mood and anxiety disorders) often mask ADHD in adults resulting in social, work, family, financial and legal problems for affected persons. The consequences of undiagnosed and untreated ADHD in adults can be devestating!

Join your medical colleagues in this educational activity to improve your diagnostic and treatment skills in Adult ADHD as well as improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Our featured speaker is internationally recognized expert, Rakish Jain, M.D., MPH who will provide an exciting learning experience in a relaxed atmosphere.

And while this event is FREE, registration is required for attending. Space is very limited and admittance is on a "first come" basis only.

This educational activity is being supported for the BPA by an educational grant from Shire Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and CME Credits are p approved for 1.5 Category 1 hours.
