Description

MTIP Innovation Readiness: SBIR/STTR Phase I Proposal Writing Workshop - National Institutes of Health emphasis lead by nationally recognized SBIR/STTR expert Jim Greenwood

The Montana Innovation Partnership (MTIP) powered by MSU TechLink helps entrepreneurial researchers and Montana small businesses compete for over $2.8 billion dollars in non-dilutive federal funding grants and contracts awarded annually through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program.

As part of the MTIP Innovation Readiness Series, we're pleased to bring you SBIR/STTR Phase I and Phase II Proposal Writing Workshop presented by Jim Greenwood of Greenwood Consulting Group. The workshop will cover all agencies, including the Department of Defense, the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health

This interactive workshop will cover all aspects of writing SBIR/STTR Phase I proposals including:

  • Overview of SBIR & STTR programs, eligibility, and agency differences
  • Planning your SBIR/STTR proposal strategy
  • Preparing the draft proposal step by step
  • Proposal review process and debriefing

Who should attend:

  • Anyone planning to prepare an SBIR/STTR proposal
  • Anyone interested in learning more about the SBIR/STTR programs and what is involved in preparing a winning proposal
  • University researchers interested in partnering with SBIR/STTR applicants
  • Service providers or business partners supporting SBIR/STTR applicants

This event is free thanks to a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration with additional funding from the Montana Department of Commerce and Montana State University.

Refreshments, snacks, and a full lunch will be provided. Contact Ann Peterson, MTIP Program Manager, for additional information at 406.994.7788 or ann.peterson@montana.edu.
