Event description

Description

GET THE BEST SEAT AT THE GAME in 2017 without getting there an hour before it starts.

Lacrosse has been coined the fastest game on two feet and the fastest growing game. This growth requires volunteers to get involved with the mechanics of scorekeeping and timekeeping, otherwise known as "table personnel." Besides being the best seat in the house, you are "in the game."

Spend the evening learning the mechanics of the game (Lacrosse 101) and how it relates to being part of the officials' team without wearing stripes and learning a custom stats keeping methodology to make tracking stats and reporting them easy.

Get the truth behind what's a ground ball? What's a save? What was that call?

This evening is dedicated to the Mens/Boys Lacrosse Game.

Topics:
- Key Definitions of the Game
- General Information about the Game (including Rule Changes)
- Table Personnel Responsibilities
- Scorekeeping Breakdown

No lacrosse experience necessary. Please bring a laptop/tablet (with connectivity to the wifi) and a writing instrument. The training guide will be available electronically only.

The event is free. Donations are given to the St. Louis-Missouri Chapter of US Lacrosse. Growing the game.
