OFFICIAL New Zealand Age Group Fitness Champs. Online postal competition, naming the fittest man and woman in each age group in New Zealand. 4 workouts will be released Monday 21st November at 4am giving athletes until 11:59pm on Friday 25th November to complete, film and submit scores/videos.

All times are in Auckland, New Zealand time zone.

Registrations will close at 8pm Sunday 20th November.


16 years & UNDER
17-19 years
20-24 years
25-29 years
30-39 years
40-49 years

NOTE: All ages are taken from 4am on Friday 21st November 2016.  Your age at this time will determine which age category you will compete in.

All athletes over 50+ will compete in the same age category. However, athletes that are 60+ may have different weights/movement standards.


Clothing orders must be in by Monday 31st October 2016. All orders will be processed at this date.


Total of $7,800 is up for grabs in prize money and sponsor prize packs for all winners.


All workouts will have a scaled option for each age group. Allowing athletes to submit their scores and appear on the leaderboard. Athletes that have scaled the workouts will have 'Scaled' beside their name.


All workouts will be released Monday 21st November 2016 at 4am. Every athlete, independent or training in an affiliate can take part in the BoxFit Champs New Zealand.  Once registration closes at 8pm Sunday 20th November, athletes will receive an email with a unique code that is specific to each individual. Use this code when submitting your scores.


Once score submissions have closed, video requests will be emailed to athletes who are eligible for prize money and/or sponsor prize packs.

To make sure the video is valid, please specify your name, age group, the equipment and the weights used during the workout and the score at the end (time, repetitions or weight)
It is your responsibility as the athlete to position the camera so that we can evaluate all the movements and their standards correctly.

​We recommend uploading your workouts to YouTube as soon as you have completed each workout.

Follow the link below for more info on how to upload videos that are longer than 15mins. 

Your video will be judged using competition standards, they might be seen as:

-Good with minor penalty (1 to 4 no reps). In this case the video will be valid but your score will decrease by 1 to 4 reps.
-Good with major penalty (at least 5 no reps). In this case, the video will be valid but your score will decrease by 15%.
-Good with major penalty (at least 5 missing reps). In this case, the video will be valid but your score will decrease by 15%.
-Invalid (Video is rejected because movement standards, workout standards or video quality is not respected). In this case, the workout will not be valid.


Athletes agree to submit scores and videos within the allocated timeframe. Completing movements and workouts to the standards set by Competition HQ. Recording workouts in accordance with the rules outlined under the video guidelines. Allowing Competition HQ to provide your email address to competition sponsors. Once purchase of entry has gone through there are no refunds and no name changes to entries. Athletes are not allowed to enter both BoxFit Champs Australia and BoxFit Champs New Zealand.
