BOWLING FOR HAITI

The Haiti Initiative (SUD) is raising money to pay for our February 2019 conference at the American University of the Caribbean in Les Cayes. We hope to raise $500 for the conference. We will be bowling at the Lucky Strike in Boston. We are asking for $20 to bowl for 2 hours. This event is family friendly. There will also be snacks served.

CONFERENCE INFORMATION

The Climate Change and Hurricane Preparedness Conference will take place at the American University of the Caribbean in Les Cayes. The keynote address will be made by Roosevelt Jean Felix of the Platform for Human Rights in Haiti. The event is co-sponsored by Centre Comminautaire Kaykok and Fierte Cayenne. MISSION

The Haiti Initiative (SUD) is a project under the umbrella of the YWCA Cambridge. The purpose of the Haiti initiative is to support Haitians in (the Southern region of) Haiti around hurricane preparedness and climate change. The Haiti Initiative (SUD)’s goals are to create spaces to educate the public about climate change, to support with hurricane preparedness, and to work with activists in Haiti.
