Description

On behalf of the "I Dream of Trina Colon Cancer Awareness Project" we are taking on efforts to STRIKE out colon cancer...once again!!!

We are so excited to honor Trina's memory, and countless others who have succumbed to this terrible disease, as we prepare for the Annual "Bowling for Colon Cancer Awareness" Fundraiser. While we urge you to be proactive with your health ALL YEAR, we are taking over the month of March which has been designated "Colon Cancer Awareness" month!

Please join us on April 1st and help us spread the word that this disease is Preventable, Beatable and Treatable. While the message of awareness is our main goal, we are donating funds raised to While the message of awareness is our main goal, we are donating funds raised to our beneficiary,Timothy Mitchell, who is currently receiving chemotherapy for colon cancer!

Please note - The death rate from colon cancer is dropping. This is partly due AWARENESS and TREATMENT!

- When detected early, colon cancer is up to 90 percent curable. Yet, less than one-half of colon cancers are detected at an early stage, when they are most treatable.

- There are often no early warning signs or symptoms – you can feel great and still have colon cancer.

- Colon cancer is equal opportunity: it affects men, women, and people of all races.

- Colon cancer is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the U.S. Only lung cancer is more deadly. It is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in non-smokers.

About Trina: Trina was Bold! Brave! and Beautiful! She was diagnosed and passed away at the age of 36 from an advanced stage of colon cancer. That's 14 years before the suggested screening. She had no signs of being ill and passed away just 30 days after being diagnosed! At the time of her passing we knew nothing about colon cancer and had no reason to believe that is why she fell ill. Trina faced her illness head on, as we must face this monster head on! There are little or no symptoms for colon cancer, so you must become familiar with this disease and take action!!

We thank you for your participation and we'll see you on the lanes!!!

Warm regards,
Team I Dream of Trina
