Description

In this two hour Bovine Production workshop, you will be given an extensive tour of the livestock and poultry facility to see how the farm operates. After the tour, farm owner, Kim Coulter will be teaching the ins and outs of raising beef cattle. The lesson will include bovine diet and health, breeding and genetics, and cattle processing. In addition to this, product marketing and business techniques will be discussed. If you're interested in raising beef cattle, we hope to see you there!

Stoney Hill Cattle Company LLC is a 150 acre farm located in Charlestown, Rhode Island. The multi-generational farm is successfully run by Kim and Bill Coulter, Nina Luchka and Josh Coulter. The farm is very well known for its production of beef, pork, eggs, broiler chickens and turkeys as well as for it's thorough business plan. Products from the farm are sold at nearby farmer's markets, at a farm stand and are a part of many delicious dishes at local restaurants.


This is a free event. Registration is a courtesy for our Host Farms. Last minute attendees are welcome. Please dress for the weather and check this site or nofari.org for potential cancellations.
