"Bourbon" Masquerade Scholarship Ball | November 24, 2018 | 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. | India House Houston

Join us for a night of Philanthropy, Masks, Live Music, Dancing, and “bourbon”. This year’s Black Tie Masquerade will feature bourbon from all over the world, live entertainment, and an exclusive food pairing. Dress to disguise or dazzle. Black Tie Attire is recommended. Costumes welcome! Masks are highly encouraged. Must be 21 or older to attend.

Early Bird tickets :
General Admission: $40
VIP: $80

Standard Tickets:
General Admission: $50
VIP: $150
(VIP tickets include exclusive access to the Bourbon Masquerade Ball, a chance for red carpet interviews, reserved seating, bourbon tasting, and complimentary hors-d'oeuvres).

The Houston Mouves Scholarship Fund is a scholarship program that serves as our commitment to academic achievement for Houston area youth. High school seniors from various high schools in Harris County are given the opportunity to compete for book scholarships to assist with freshman year college expenses. Students are asked to write an essay on their WHY?

“What Is Your Why?” Scholarship Essay Contest

Houston Mouves is excited to sponsor its first annual essay contest for high school seniors who desire to attend a two or four-year college or university. At Houston Mouves our focus is promoting local companies to help grow their business while donating a portion of the proceeds to non-profit organizations, which help raise awareness to social issues and give back to communities in need. As we wrap up 2018, our desire is to invest in the life of a young person who desires to attend college. In order to choose the recipient of this year’s scholarship, we would like to hear about your “Why?”.

Eligibility:

  • Must write an essay entitled “What Is Your Why?”
  • Must have a minimum of 100 words not exceeding a maximum of 300
  • Must be a high school senior
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Must have been accepted to a college or university
