What I Bring to the World

with Sylvia Dolena

Considering a change in life or a new career? Learn self-analysis techniques that highlight what you need to get started, including skill identification, capabilities, talents, roles, confidence, and a self-development plan.

Gain tools that help tap into your abilities and knowledge:

  • Show up as your best “you”
  • Think on your feet
  • Decide what kind of energy you bring to the table
  • Step into the new person that you want to be!

Sylvia Kahalia Dolena, MBA, MS, worked for Hewlett-Packard (HP) for 18 years, as a Global Programs and Operations Manager and as a Strategic Change Project Manager. She has worked as an external business consultant with HP and other high-tech and retail companies like AMD and Best Buy. Currently, Sylvia is a Project Manager for Fortune 100 Company's Leadership Certification Program. She delivers workshops and leadership development programs in Hawai'i and nationally. She holds an MBA in Organizational Effectiveness from University of Southern California and an MS in Strategic Management of Technology Organizations from Stanford and IESE, the European School of Business in Barcelona.

Tuition is $50 (group discounts and individual needs-based partial scholarships available).  Contact (808) 935-7844 or to pay with cash, check, or purchase order/invoice (for businesses only) or to request a scholarship application.

UH-Hilo Employees attend for FREE -- under registration, select "UH-Hilo Employees (will be verified with UH)".

The “Teamwork, Leadership, and Preparing for the New Economy” Training Series is made possible thanks in part to funding from the Atherton Family Foundation, County of Hawai'i, and Hawai'i Island United Way.
