Event description

Description

Don't miss the 8th season of the Museum of Boulder's popular series, Boulder Conversations with Extraordinary People! This monthly series runs from September through April and presents the innovative people whose connection with our city make Boulder the remarkable community that it is today. This year's speakers include an astrophysicist working on missions to Jupiter, the world's only blind coffee roaster, and a local film critic - full lineup here. Participants enjoy wine and light appetizers and have an opportunity to interact with the speakers and ask questions.

December's speaker is Gerry Leary, the world's only blind Master Coffee Roaster and the owner of Boulder's Unseen Bean Cafe. Blind from birth, Gerry was a mechanic for 40 years before teaching himself how to roast coffee using smell and sound. He will discuss his journey to becoming a master coffee roaster, as well as his community involvement as a small business owner. To learn more about Gerry, check out his video.

Doors open: 5:30pm - enjoy wine and light appetizers

Event begins: 5:45pm
