What is the Dentox course?
The Dentox training course has been created for dentists and other dental health professionals to attend in order to learn more about the theory and practical application of Botox and other dermal fillers. Although other health professionals are very welcome to attend, they may not get out as much as dentists who attend the course.
Who is running it?
It was Dr Howard Katz who created the Dentox course. He has spent over forty years as a well respected professional dentist, but has also spent a lot of that time working on Botox research and with pharmaceutical companies. That means that Dr Howard Katz now holds the patents for the majority of the chemicals, tools, and techniques that are used within Botox administration, making him the perfect person to offer this course.
How long will it take?
Unlike many other elongated training courses, the New York Botox training course occurs on just one day, making it very easy for local New York dentists to be able to attend – and for other dentists in the surrounding areas to make the day trip by public transport in order to be able to attend.
What is covered by the course?
There are four main areas that are covered in the Dentox training course. Firstly, there is theoretical and practical training on Botox: how to prepare the solutions and needles, which places in the patient to inject depending on their situation, and problem solving should anything go wrong. Then Dr Howard Katz teaches about dermal fillers, the wide variety of options available, and how to choose the right one for the patient. Lastly, the Dentox course covers platelet rich plasma (PRP), an often forgotten subject. Dr Howard Katz then ends with marketing and business strategy to help trainees put their new skills into practice.
