Boston University Regional Receptions
Friday, September 6, 2013 at 6:00 PM - Friday, September 27, 2013 at 6:00 PM (EDT)
Boston can be different than where you've lived before. No one seems to know how to make a good Buffalo wing around here. They call long sandwiches "subs" instead of "grinders". They don't refer to each other by their area codes. You can walk all over the city. And there's snow!
But what's great about Boston University is that thousands of students from all over the globe call this place home. Celebrate your new beginnings with others from your area of the country or world at a Regional Reception this fall. Swing by your region's event to see old friends or meet new ones. Swap stories and make connections that will help you during your first few weeks at BU.

When & Where
Boston University Dean of Students
We are the Dean of Students office and the Division of Student Life. We mentor and counsel, and promote an environment that encourages intellectual exchange and individual expression. We help to provide programs and a rich residential environment where students can interact with each other, faculty, and staff. We are dedicated to providing an environment that will enable students to effectively engage in academic and intellectual work, community service, and other activities that enrich their time at Boston University.
We interact with students and student associations to represent student concerns and to provide programs and services that facilitate both personal and academic growth.
We advise student organizations, plan ways to acclimate students to the University, set and regulate standards, offer academic support, help you navigate your career goals, provide a living room for the campus, give you the means to come alive culturally and ethnically, make certain the University experience is accessible, enrich our surrounding community through service, and create a vibrant and welcoming living-learning environment.
