Boston Green Drinks - March 2021 Virtual Happy Hour
Event Information
About this Event
March's Boston Green Drinks gathering is just around the corner!
Join us for "Food for Thought Part 2: Eating Locally & Thoughtfully!" We'll take another look at 'local' food sourcing, from a different angle. We'll be joined by Walden Local, a B Corp company that have found a successful business model by providing locally and sustainably sourced protein. They engage with local farmers and fishers to reinvigorate the local agricultural economy while ensuring a traceable food supply for - as they put it - people who want to cook and eat locally, nutritiously and sustainably. Check 'em out! (https://waldenlocalmeat.com/ - There's some pretty cool considerations they have undertaken, and potentially loads of questions!)
Join us as we explore this corner of the food network, and consider how it could inform sustainability success for our broader community. As usual, this will be followed by open-ended discussion. So grab a drink of your choice, bring your point of view, and we hope to see you on Zoom!
What: Virtual Green Drinks
When: Tuesday, March 30th, 7:30pm

Join the conversation with sustainability professionals and hobbyists. Enjoy a drink and build your connection with our green community! Boston Green Drinks builds a community of sustainably-minded Bostonians, provides a forum for exchange of sustainability career resources, and serves as a central point of information about emerging green issues. We support the exchange of ideas and resources about sustainable energy, environment, food, health, education.
