Boston Green Drinks - January 2021 VIRTUAL Happy Hour
Event Information
About this Event
Happy New Year to our Boston Green Drinks network! Was it your new year's resolution to connect with the sustainability community, expand your network, or to do more fun things after work? If so, Boston Green Drinks has you covered, and this month we're kicking off the first in a three-part series revolving around food.
Join us for "Food for Thought Part 1: Eating Local", where we'll take a closer look at 'local' food sourcing. We'll also be joined by Dr. Rob Vincent, Assistant Director for Advisory Services at MIT Sea Grant, to discuss their work supporting local seafood producers hit hard by Covid-19, developing alternative markets that in turn helped feed our many food-insecure families, while building a model for community resiliency. As usual, this will be followed by open-ended discussion.
So grab a drink of your choice, bring your point of view, and we hope to see you on Zoom!
What: Virtual Green Drinks
When: Tuesday, January 26th, 7:30pm

What to expect: Bring your own drink of choice, and a readiness to engage in conversations around environmental issues, leveraging the moment, job opportunities, and current events!
Join the conversation with sustainability professionals and hobbyists. Enjoy a drink and build your connection with our green community! Boston Green Drinks builds a community of sustainably-minded Bostonians, provides a forum for exchange of sustainability career resources, and serves as a central point of information about emerging green issues.
