Event Details

This workshop will help you become conscious of the hidden emotional dynamics from your present, original family and/or your ancestors. Family Constellation invites participants to see how entanglements in current relationships may be tied to the family memory, to experience a reliable way to release resentment, pain, and grief and to step out of troublesome patterns.

What is a Family Constellation (FC) Workshop?

The FC Workshop is a brief group experience, different from a long-term training, theoretical course, lecture or presentation. The workshop leader acts as a facilitator between the client and “the field”, which brings to light all that is in the unconscious, in the family memory. Neutral people (without any relation to the client) are used to represent members of his/her family. All participants are part of the dynamics, regardless of whether he/she is an "issue holder", just "observing ", or being a “representative” in the constellations everyone benefits from this work equally, conditional of no judgments, no wrongdoers seeking, no intentions, no analysis. This work is not related to any religion, belief, value or dogma and it involves phenomenology.

What issues can be addressed in FC?

Relationships: with parents, with natural or adoptive children, ex-spouses, all couples,

Separations: divorce, early death, "empty nest”.

Mental illness.

Depression, emotional imbalances.

Chronic and autoimmune diseases, allergies.

Career, professional life.

Chronic pain.

Eating disorders.

Incest and sexual abuse.

Is there a minimum age to attend the event?

There is no minimum age. Under 18-year-old must be accompanied by the father, mother, both and/or a guardian.

Do FC work miracles?

No. And they do not replace other forms of therapy, nor traditional medicine. It is a new form of knowledge and access to other levels of consciousness, which can only be received through this physical experience in a group.

Is my privacy preserved?

In this workshop, all participants identities are preserved. Names, photos are not promoted by the organization at any time, in any social media, guaranteeing the secrecy of those who participate in these experiences.

May I use cell phones, or take pictures of the event?

No. Phones are not allowed in the circle. They must be turned off.

Do I need to take my whole family?

No. The work affects all members of the family (living and dead) even if they are not present. They will be represented by other people in the group.

Can I bring my wife, husband, boyfriend/girlfriend, siblings, father, mother, child?

Yes, although it is not mandatory.

I am a psychologist/therapist, can I take my patient to “constellate”?

Yes. This is very common, as well as enlightening for both health professional and patient. The patient can also attend it alone.

What is a Family or Systemic Constellation?

FC is a therapeutic and philosophical work applied to practical life that was developed by the German pedagogue, psychotherapist, and philosopher Bert Hellinger, which involves phenomenology. Hellinger developed FCs from empirical observations, based on various forms of family psychotherapy, on patterns of behavior that are repeated in families. He discovered the existence of consciousness, a memory, that remains in the families for generations. There are three laws that “rule” the family system, also called Orders / Laws of Love which aim at perpetuating it. Through the experiences in FC, it is possible to bring out the hidden dynamics of the family by identifying the orders that have been disregarded. The work enables the client to bring to consciousness a “new view” of his/her issue and for a new path to the solution of the imprisonment and suffering. This work is not related to any religion, although it is based on spirituality.

What are the Orders of Love?

Bert Hellinger discovered that there are three laws, orders or principles that work in the family and other groups or systems, without us being aware.

HIERARCHY (order of arrival in the system)

BELONGING (right to belong to the system)

BALANCE (between giving and taking / receiving)

When these laws are violated in a family, there are compensations or atonement, which act on other members of the same and/or later generations. Thanks to the representation, the client can become aware of:

* where entanglement is.

* how such laws can be respected again.

* the possible restoring order to his/her system.

* the next step the client can take, which will lead him/her to a solution of issue(s) that imprisoned him/her.

What is a System?

A system is a group of people who remain united or linked, according to a common interest and forces that permeate them, regardless of whether or not they are aware of these forces. The primary system of which we belong is “the family”, through which life is perpetuated.

Who is part of a person's Family System?

Parents, grandparents, great-grandparents and ancestors, uncles/aunts, first love (where there was sexual intercourse), spouses, ex-spouses, living or dead children, aborted children, people excluded or forgotten and people harmed or murdered by a family member.

Who is Bert Hellinger?

Hellinger was born in Germany in 1925. He was a missionary in a Catholic order. He studied Theology and Philosophy and he has a B.A. and a University Education Diploma. Hellinger lived in South Africa for 16 years. During these years he served as a parish priest, teacher and, finally, as headmaster of a large school. In the late 1960s, he renounced the clergy. He studied Gestalt therapy, Psychoanalysis, and Primal Therapy. After years of practicing group dynamics, he came to Systemic Therapy itself. Hellinger traveled widely, delivering lectures, workshops and training courses throughout, Europe, the United States, Central, and South America, Russia, China, and Japan. Hellinger alienated some potential colleagues and supporters by his idiosyncratic behavior, such as making sweeping statements that reduced complex issues to single root causes or his way of sometimes addressing his love to clients in a caustic, authoritarian tone. Many practitioners distance themselves from the FC founding figure. Many others continued their association, integrating further developments into their own practices. Hellinger has published more than 30 books with combined sales of one million copies in at least ten languages. Maria Sophie Hellinger, his second wife, runs the “Hellinger Schule”.

No refunds are given for cancellations at any time. Please understand this is a self-exploration workshop and not a substitute for medical treatment or psychotherapy. The client takes full personal responsibility for the experience during this event.
