At this networking lunch on December 3, Dan Ganse, Principal from Spectrum Technologies, and Tom Farrow, Senior Director of Global Sales Compensation at EMC, will share best practices practices that are transferable to your organization as part of an interactive session with your sales compensation peers.  

Key areas that will be explored include:

  • Is your entire organization prepared for next year - from plan design, to system implementation, to field rollout?
  • Guiding principles & plan objectives – Is the design in alignment with them? 
  • Pay mix & differentiation – Do you have the right amount of pay “at risk”? Do you reward the highest performers the most? 
  • Earning opportunities & quota achievement – Does everyone have equal opportunity for incentive earnings? What do your historical earnings distributions look like?
  • Ongoing management – How effectively do you manage your sales compensation program?


Lunch will be served and available starting at 11:30am and the session will begin at noon.

About the Speakers:

Tom Farrow is the Senior Director of Global Sales Compensation at EMC.  At EMC, Tom's organization is responsible for the design and implementation of all of EMC's global sales compensation programs. Prior to joining EMC, Tom was Director of Global Sales Incentive Compensation at Savvis/CenturyLink and has worked in Sales Compensation roles at roles at a variety of companies including: Medtronic, Trane/Ingersoll Rand, Gateway Computers, PeopleSoft, and Nextel.    

At Spectrum Technologies, Dan Ganse is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership including sales, marketing, channel, and customer account management activities. Mr. Ganse brings with him 20 years of deep expertise in the area of Sales Performance Management and Incentive Compensation Management. His experience includes assisting customers in all aspects of enterprise-wide incentive management and brings a unique combination of business and software technology knowledge and expertise to address customers incentive management issues.
