Nena Ugwuomo is the Founder and CEO of Student Dream, a nonprofit that erases poverty and unlocks potential in underserved communities through entrepreneurial training. As an alum of the illustrious Howard University, Nena is a dynamic young woman with a passion for people, business, and education.
Her experiences working in global product marketing at The Nielsen Company, innovation strategy with Business Model Generation, and startups with General Assembly have given her a deep strategic skillset that when teamed with her fire joy of a personality allow her to breathe life into high impact ideas so that they transform businesses, people, communities and the world. When not playing basketball or serving on her church's prayer team, she is joyfully committed to Student Dream's mission of training passionate collegiate students of color to launch the most innovative, high-impact, startup ventures in the world. She encourages anyone keen on world-changing to join the fun!
When & Where
Student Dream trains collegiate students of color to start companies. Driven by a vision to create wealth in communities of color, Student Dream runs semester long programs and a membership platform that connects aspiring Black, Hispanic, and Native American student entrepreneurs to training, mentorship, and industry opportunities needed to succeed.
Everyone from all ethnicities are strongly encouraged to connect, learn, build and grow their companies.
