Learn more about the people behind Bose AR's most innovative products and about great opportunities to develop new solutions using Bose AR's SDK kit. Food and refreshments will be available.

Jacqueline Bošnjak

Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer Q Department & Mach1

Q Department is an award winning sound production studio that specializes in original music, sound design, mixing, and audio post-production across multiple mediums. Mach1 is a sound technology and IP development studio focused on VR, AR and other interactive mediums. Advertising Age's Creativity 50 featuring the most influential creative figures included founders Dražen and Jacqueline Bošnjak for Mach1's contributions to the field of spatial audio. Mach1 is a recipient of the Advanced Imaging Society 2018 Lumiere Technology Award for the Mach1 Spatial System.

Jessica Brillhart

Jessica Brillhart is an immersive director, writer, and theorist who is widely known for her pioneering work in virtual reality. She’s the founder of Vrai Pictures, an XR studio based in New York which focuses on building impactful and emotional experiences for emerging technologies. Previously, Brillhart was the Principal Filmmaker for VR at Google where she helped to develop Google Jump, a live-action virtual reality ecosystem. Since then, she has made a range of highly acclaimed immersive experiences, working with such groups as NASA, Bose, the Philharmonia Orchestra in London, Google’s Artists and Machine Intelligence program, the Montreal Canadiens, and (unofficially) the Weather Channel. Most recently, Brillhart delivered the Convergence Keynote at SXSW 2019 and launched a spatial audio platform, Traverse, which won SXSW’s Special Jury Prize for The Future of Experience.

 

 

 

 

Katya Stepanov

Katya is the founder of The Inheritance Project, and co-founder of Rebis and In the Basement Theater Company. As an actor, she has performed at Barrington Stage, Cincinnati Playhouse, La MaMa, Contemporary American Theater Festival, Pittsburgh Irish & Classical, Triad Stage, and is a founding company member of Girl Be Heard! She has taught ensemble techniques at numerous theaters and institutions including Barrington Stage, North Carolina School for the Arts, and as part of Immersive Design Week. As an immersive experience designer, she creates interactive narratives, story-based environments, and game-based team building for artists, nonprofits, and brands. She also works   as an experience design consultant for companies, including Deloitte Greenhouse, Google, SoHo House, and Future of Storytelling, She holds a BFA from CMU School of Drama, where she graduated as an Andrew Carnegie Scholar; trained at the Moscow Art Theater; and received the Arts@Renaissance Residency for ITB’s immersive production, The Lady in Red Converses with Diablo.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Closest train stop would be 42nd St- Grand Central Station on the 4/5/6/7 line. There's parking nearby but please keep in mind this is in Midtown Manhattan. Parking may be hard to come by.
