Event description

Description

In this one day introduction to flameworking, we will focus on the basics of working with borosilicate glass. Students will learn to control molten glass at 2,300 degrees! Starting with solid forms, students will work with temperature, viscosity, and shape. We will then move on to small hollow forms such as silly straws and other small vessels. By taking this short introduction, you will leave with all of the knowledge you need to reproduce basic ideas in glass. Students should come with an open mind and willingness to experiment with a new material. All ages and experience levels are welcome.
