Event Details

Join us for the LA book launch of "Born This Way: Real Stories of Growing Up Gay," benefiting the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center!

Hosting the event is author Paul Vitagliano (DJ Paul V.) and Miss Coco Peru. Celebrity contributors to the book will share their childhood photographs and stories and discuss their experiences growing up gay. There will also be a short Q&A and musical performances by Jackie Beat, plus John Quale (aka Prince Poppycock) with Kristian Hoffman.

Special $20 presale ticket includes a copy of the book! Please print your ticket at home and present at the end of the event to receive your book. Only 25 tickets + book available online! A limited number of books will be available for purchase at the event.

The Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center

The Lily Tomlin/Jane Wagner Cultural Arts Center is a program of the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center. Our theatres at The Village at Ed Gould Plaza include the Renberg Theatre, a 200 seat state-of-the-art theatre, and the Davidson/Valentini Theatre, a 50 seat black box theatre.

 

The Center provides a broad array of services for the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community, welcoming nearly a quarter-million client visits from ethnically diverse youth and adults each year.

 

Through its Jeffrey Goodman Special Care Clinic and on-site pharmacy, the Center offers free and low-cost health, mental healthHIV/AIDS medical care and HIV/STD testing and prevention

 

The Center also offers legal, social, cultural, and educational services, with unique programs for seniorsfamilies and youth, including a 24-bed transitional living program for homeless youth.
