"Born For This": How to Find the Work You Were Meant to Do
-Special Release Party in Portland, Oregon-
It's almost here! My new book, BORN FOR THIS, will debut on April 5th. I'll be starting a 30-city tour all across North America the next day, but to kick things off, we're first throwing a party in my hometown. I hope you can join us!
This event is different from every other stop on the tour. It will be a much more intimate gathering than the other events, so space is limited. I won't be doing a full presentation at this one (because it's more of a party), but later in May I'll return to Portland for a live, public event at Powell's Books for a longer talk.
At this special launch event, there will be beer and wine and probably some other special treats. You'll also receive a brand new (literally, like the same day) hardcover copy of BORN FOR THIS. I'll be signing books at the party, and because the capacity is limited, we'll be able to hang out with a small group of remarkable people. :)
Don't wait... you were born for this party. Sign up now and tell a friend!
What's the book about?
The new book is all about how to find the work you were meant to do. I went on a research project lasting more than two years and interviewed hundreds of people who had all found or created their "dream job." My goal was to take the lessons they learned and share them with others. The book is prescriptive, meaning that there is something you can learn and apply from almost every page.
Why do I need a ticket? The other events are free.
This event is a special VIP kickoff on the publication date of Born For This. Guests are treated to beer, wine, snacks, and a copy of the book for their ticket price. (Also, the space is fairly small, so we can't invite everyone.)
How awesome will it be?
Sooooooo awesome. It's held inside of WildFang, one of the coolest stores in Portland and a shining example of non-conformity with purpose. Many of our friends will be in attendance, and there may even be a special surprise or two.
How can I learn about other events?
Just head over to BornforThisBook.com/tour -- and tell your friends in other cities!
Will you sell tickets at the door?
There will be no ticket sales at the door. The event capacity is limited, so we are expecting to sell out.
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
This is a 21 and over event. Please bring your legal ID. (I know, sorry—the OLCC is very particular about these things. If you are under 21 or have family members under 21, I hope you can come to the Powell's event in May!)
