Signin' in the Rain
DAWN is hosting its 5th annual
B.O.O.T.S. (Breaking Out Of The Silence) fundraiser
Wear your galoshes for a comfortable yet fun affair.
For the first time ever, trench coats and umbrellas are encouraged.
Go crazy on loud colors and be sure not to forget your rain hats.
It won't matter what you will be wearing... as long as you put your BOOTS on!
We are thrilled to announce that Marilyn J. Smith will be the amazing keynote speaker for the 5th annual BOOTS event! Marilyn is one of the most important supporters and activists of the anti-violence movement in Deaf America. She is the founder and former Executive Director of the Abused Deaf Women's Advocacy Services (ADWAS) in Seattle, Washington.
Please wear your galoshes and join us in welcoming Marilyn – we hope that she can bring some of her Seattle spirit and rain to BOOTS! There will be loud music, live & silent auction, delicious appetizers, and entertainment.
Be sure to bring extra money for our amazing selection of
silent auction items and maybe go big during the live auction!

When & Where
Our mission is to promote healthy relationships and end abuse in the Deaf community of the Washington DC area. We do this in two ways:
– Providing survivors of abuse with help they need to heal and progress with their lives.
– Educating Deaf and hearing communities on the issues and how to foster positive relationships.
