****************************************************************************************************************************

For her 25th birthday, in honor of the success of her 24th birthday wish that came true--creating a scholarship foundation at her Alma Mater, Clayton High School, covering the steep college-textbook expense of a graduating Black Student Union member (with a minimum 3.0 GPA, honorable mention from CHS faculty, and proof of enrollment/acceptance into college for the 2016-17 academic year)--, the founder of The BooksFromBekkah Textbook Scholarship Foundation, Dr. Rebakkah Johnson, has something bigger in mind.

"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you'll land among the stars," is the theme for Dr. Johnson's First Annual Scholarship Soiree, held this year on the rooftop of the Moonrise Hotel located in The Loop--one of St. Louis' most vibrant shopping, dining and entertainment districts.

In honor of Dr. Johnson’s 25th birthday, she will hold the numbers twenty-five (25), two (2), and five (5) very close to heart, in mind of qualified senior Clayton High School BSU members with proof of acceptance/enrollment into college for the 2017-2018 academic year. She has set a goal of donating TWENTY-FIVE hundred dollars to her BooksFromBekkah Textbook Scholarship Foundation in order to benefit FIVE graduating seniors whom meet TWO requirements by her birthday of April 13th: a 3.0 cummulative GPA and an essay (500-1,000 min/max wordcount) addressing one of the following prompts: (1) Discuss the importance of education in today’s society; (2) Describe three ways you can positively impact someone else’s future; (3) Discuss something you’ve done that’s made a difference in your community.
