Event description

Description

Books Rhymes and Life is a bi-monthly book club meet-up in Toronto for guys.

Each time we explore a new book, from fiction to narrative non-fiction and beyond, and how these books affect or shape our lives. There's usually food, always tea or coffee, and good conversation is guaranteed.

Books Rhymes and Life - Volume III (December 2017): We will be discussing Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's highly acclaimed 'Americanah'. Through a sprawling and fearless story about love in a globalized world, Americanah follows the lives of two Nigerian emigrants across three continents. Adichie explores themes we all recognize - ambition, love, loss, sojourning, class, and race - all while being bold, funny, and detailed in a way that makes 'Americanah' a modern classic.

You can borrow 'Americanah' from the Toronto Public Library (although you might need to place a hold): http://www.torontopubliclibrary.ca/

Or you can purchase it wherever books are sold.
