Event description
Come and join Zoe and Sneha for their monthly book thematic deep dive .

About this Event

It’s Thanksgiving month, and although we don’t celebrate it, it’s never a bad time to be thankful! As Iggy Azalea sang - “Walk a mile in these louboutins”, this book would hopefully help us understand that we are the sum of our past experiences, culture, surroundings and much more.

//Description

There’s a grisly riddle to consider: A father and his son are in a car accident. The father dies at the scene and the son, badly injured, is rushed to the hospital. In the operating room, the surgeon looks at the boy and says, “I can’t operate on this boy. He is my son.”

- Answer will be disclosed on the day itself ;)

Citing the influence of “mindbugs”—ingrained judgments and biases that unconsciously influence behavior—social psychologists Banaji and Greenwald, provide an accessible and persuasive account of the causes of stereotyping and discrimination.

This book is to help us understand ourselves and the people around us better. Let’s be thankful by those we are surrounded with and care for us deeply. (Don’t worry we will not be too cheesy)

P.S. If you have not had the chance to read the book, please read the summaries provided so you have a basic idea of the themes and some key points.

//About Zoe and Sneha

This book club was made as a result of 2 strangers wanting to discuss books similar to Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck. Both felt that the books had resonated with them in different ways, which they found fascinating and intriguing. So, they decided to start a Book Club on unconventional books where everyone can discuss about!

It’s a great place to meet like-minded people, who enjoy Mark Manson’s style of speaking and quite possible drop plenty of F-bombs of their own. So, if you are looking to follow or are already following the general theme of not giving a f*ck in your life, head over to Tribe Theory!
