Join us when historian John Strausbaugh discusses his most recent book, which paints a vivid picture of Civil War-era New York City as a place of extremes—where war heroes and draft resisters, abolitionists and slavery proponents, Lincoln supporters and anti-war protesters, all co-existed. He reveals the schismatic role that New York City played in this tumultuous conflict.
