Please read American Street, be sure to join the YWCA Alliance Book Club and author Ibi Zoboi for an event on October 17th at 6:00 p.m. at the White Plains Public Library.

In partnership with the White Plains Public Library, the YWCA White Plains & Central Westchester is encouraging as many groups and individuals as possible to read American Street.

American Street by Ibi Zoboi, is a novel that explores themes of immigration, culture, family, and loyalty. Ibi Zoboi writes with a powerful command of both realism and fantasy, producing lines packed with emotional intensity and lyrical honesty.
