Please join us for an evening with Claudia Citkovitz, PhD, LAc as she discusses from her new book-Acupressure and Acupuncture During Birth.

About this Event

For acupuncturists and birth professionals, this book explains how yin/yang and other principles of Chinese medicine can improve birth experiences as well as outcomes. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine can shift and support the physical and emotional journey of birth and provide nonpharmacologic treatment approaches for commonly occurring disorders of labor such as malposition, asynclitism, slow cervical dilatation and inadequate contractions, as well as postpartum and post C-section care.

About the Instructor

Claudia Citkovitz, PhD, L.Ac. is one of the nation’s foremost authorities on Acupuncture for Labor and Delivery as well as stroke recovery and rehabilitation. She is the director of acupuncture services at NYU Lutheran Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY, where she oversees the delivery of acupuncture therapies and leads acupuncture internships and postgraduate training programs in labor and delivery and neurological rehabilitation for doctoral programs. Her research activities include multiple publications in journals of integrative and conventional medicine.
