Heidi Andermack and Amy Lynn Brown of Chowgirls Killer Catering visit from Minneapolis in celebration of their first book that promises Righteous Bites and Cocktails for Every Season. As one of the Midwest's premier sustainable catering companies with pizazz to boot, this book party will show us all how to party!
Minneapolis has gained a well-earned reputation as a culture capital of the greater Midwest, a sophisticated (if often chilly) city home to restaurants and chefs who know how to make the most of every season's bounty. Many moons ago, two vivacoius ladies started Chowgirls Killer Catering with a dedication to local, often organic produce and sustainable, seasonal cooking.
After cooking at hundreds of events (even a wedding in a national forest preserve where they had to transport all of their food and equipment by canoe!), Heidi Andermack and Amy Lynn Brown, the Chowgirls themselves, bring their time-tested appetizers, clever small plates and zippy cocktails to the heart of your next party.
Their first book, Chowgirls: Killer Party Food, maintains their holistic approach by grouping the recipes into four seasons. We invite you to learn how to make the same "righteous bites" at their Chicago book party. On Friday, December 2, we'll whip up a cocktail (it is a party, after all!) alongside Roasted Fall Vegetables with Saffron Aioli, Whiskey-Ginger Cocktail Meatballs, and Thai Red Pepper Shooters.
Tickets to the event are $15. You may pre-order a copy of the book, which can be signed by Heidi and Amy at the event, at a 20 percent discount (plus tax). The book will also be available for sale on the day of the event at full price.
Refund/cancellation policy: A full refund will be provided for cancellations requests received from customers up to one week (seven days) before the event. No refund or store credit will be provided for cancellation requests received less than a week before the event.
