Tell me more about Margo

Margo grew up in Evansville with her 4 brothers and sisters, and loved playing piano and singing from an early age. Her first heartbreak came at age 11 when her mom wouldn’t drive her to Chicago to audition for ‘Annie’, and she is still holding a grudge about it.

Margo attended St Olaf College in Northfield Minnesota where she was a member of the world-renowned St Olaf Choir. During her years with the Choir, Margo traveled all over the country and world on tour, including China, Japan, Taiwan and Hong Kong.

After graduating from St. Olaf with a degree in Fine Arts (Art, Music, Dance and Theatre), Margo moved to Australia. It was during her years “down under” that Margo’s musical theater and performing career blossomed. Various roles included Eva Peron (Evita) and Fantine (Les Miserables). She also performed as a piano bar entertainer, and was a featured soloist with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. While in Australia, Margo also worked as a Dialogue Coach for Village Roadshow Studios, where she taught various actors like Heath Ledger to speak with an American accent for television and films.

After returning to America, Margo embarked on a career as a television news producer, helming shows at NBC15 and WKOW in Madison. During this time, she also performed with the Madison Opera Company.

Margo currently lives in a suburb of Kansas City with her husband Eric and three teenaged kids. She is still playing piano and performing in the Kansas City area.
