Odd Arne Westad, Yale University (online), Alanna O’Malley, Leiden University, Walter Gam Nkwi, Leiden University and Ferghall Vlaun, the African and Caribbean Heritage Network at Utrecht University will talk with the author of 'The Ideological Scramble for Africa', Frank Gerits, about his book and about the importance of African international history for international relations scholarship and university education. Chaired by Liesbeth van de Grift, chair of the History of International Relations section.
