Description
Book of the Month: The Bear and the Nightingale
After reading a wintry Russian tale, we'll be strapping on our snowshoes (or cross country skis if you prefer) for a hike around Gold Greek Pond, with a stop along the way for tasty treats and warm beverages by the fire at a cozy cabin!
Hike Info:
The trailhead for Gold Creek Pond in the winter is along the plowed shoulder of Forest Road 4832, and a SnoPark permit is required for parking. The road to the summer parking lot isn’t plowed in the winter, so the hike starts with an easy hike along that 0.5 miles of road. The WTA trail description has a good set of driving directions here: http://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/lower-gold-creek-basin-snowshoe
