Book and Bread, a performance dinner in honor of HotHouse
Sunday, October 20, 2013 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM (CDT)
The fabled HotHouse- one of Chicago's legendary cultural centers is back! We are rebuilding the non-profit performing arts center /sanctuary for progressive culture in a new, permanent location and are currently raising money for the project.
Robin Richman is welcoming Leon Johnson from Detroit's Salt and Cedar for this very special occasion in honor of the relaunch of HotHouse.
Leon conceives, researches, designs and produces intermedia communications and events. These events include performances and interactive spectacles in traditional and non-traditional sites.
Robin has invited Leon and his friends from Detroit to conduct his signature Book and Bread event inside her beautiful store. This autumn party coincides with the hunter full moon and will be a night to remember.
Guests will dine on fresh harvest morsels, and learn to bind a 16thC Journal to keep and cherish. Tickets to this special event are limited to the first 30 persons. We are accepting donations to HotHouse regardless of attendance. A second tier ticket is available for just the book binding and cocktails - after the dinner.
