Bonsai for Beginners!

Hi! I'm Savannah, I'm 23 years old, and I'm a professional plant nerd. Super excited to teach this next workshop!

So what's all this about?

Glad you asked! Here's the jist of it.

1. Say hi, look around, and get cozy.
2. Mix your own soil
3. Learn about bonsai design & get inspired!
4. Meet the trees and pick your favorite
5. Cut off extra branches that don't fit the vibe
6. Wire the branches and trunk
7. Potting time
8. Add cute animal figures and crystals!

Each person will get to take their bonsai home in a repurposed glass dish! These plants are happy as long as there's a window within a few feet.

This workshop is beginner-friendly! We'll learn about

• Ficus trees in nature
• What makes a tree a bonsai
• Upright, slanted, windswept and literati bonsai designs
• Leaf reduction techniques
• Branching
• Wiring
• Bonsai care over time

Bonsai is such a peaceful and rewarding hobby. Can't wait to introduce everyone to a world of happy little trees!
