Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

Presented in the upstairs gallery of the Corona Public Library are two recent bodies of work by artist Bonnie Kent. Tapping into her own personal experiences she creates oil paintings that focus on enjoyment and action.

"Throttle" explores the strength and determination of the motocross athlete. Driven with ownership they seize life. Taking action their adventure remains alive.

"Baker Beach" surveys the awe and grandeur of San Francisco’s captivating beach. With one step onto the sand the heart is arrested. All senses ignite to deliver a full days enjoyment within a single hour.

"Pursuing a more pure state of being within this short life span involves stripping away negativity.” Kent explains. “Painting allows me to look more closely to see the unnoticed. It's a process of removing artificial and unnecessary elements. Arriving at a place of truth and appreciation of this gift of life."

Please join us at the opening reception November 15, 6-8pm and meet the artist.

The exhibition continues through December 30, 2017
