About this Event

COVID-19 updates: For the health and well-being of our clients and employees, Bon Secours Baltimore is postponing the tours usually held monthly at least though 2020. Our employees are working remotely as often as possible. Several are actively involved in supporting our community are working on the front lines. To our clients and our employees, your safety is always in our thoughts. Please check back to see if tickets are available.

Bon Secours’ history begins with three young nurses who traveled from France in 1881 with a mission: to care for the sick and dying in Baltimore. Their model of care was notably different. It addressed not just the patients’ needs, but those of his or her family and the community. It represents the earliest version of “population healthcare,” introduced well before the hospital was constructed.

Today we provide many of the same services outside the hospital’s walls. Here are just a few:

  • 800+ affordable apartments
  • Job skills & employment
  • Fresh produce in a food desert

...And we do so much more. For more than 100 years, Bon Secours has ministered to the people of west Baltimore. We are proud not only of that legacy, but of a heritage that began well before then.
