Just as a caterpillar needs a chrysalis to become a butterfly, we each need a safe container, in which to evolve and grow. In this class, we will learn to translate any project into a creative container, which provides a transformational experience for a viewer/audience/experiencer. The workshop will be transdisciplinary. Projects can arise from any discipline or medium, and be expressed in any discipline or medium or a combination.

We will consider storytelling as a container for transformation. Stories carry us on a journey, and transform the way we see the world. Art, music, dance, journalism, science, or any other discipline can also be containers for transformation, according to how we employ them. We will learn to think of projects as experiences rather than as information.

In this workshop, we will consider the elements of body, space, and time, as we explore a variety of exercises and techniques to: deepen our understanding of our project; craft an audience experience; and help us crystalize our story, and mission, into a cohesive whole. We will employ story-telling, writing, art, and any other mediums or disciplines, or any combination of them, to find resonance with our chosen topic.
