Bodies in Motion with George Simian
Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM (PST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Photographing motion is a challenge of the highest order – the images must have strong dynamics, precision, and create the breathtaking illusion of human beings effortlessly floating in mid-air! It takes vision, coordination, anticipation, and perfect timing – as well as great lighting that addresses conceptual and technical solutions to the problem of movement!
This workshop will help you master all these advanced techniques, while creating stunning, unique images for your portfolio! It will help you get better at capturing peak-moment photographs, whether of dance, sport, or even children turning cartwheels in the backyard….
You’ll bring your camera, backup battery and memory cards, a medium focal length lens (or zoom), and a strong interest in dance and movement, as well as comfort in following fast movement with your camera, locking focus, and responding to the peak moment of the action! A week after the workshop we’ll post a group web page, with everyone’s best work, as well as reward the dancers with your images.
