Event description

Description

Bocce at the Village 2019 offers players and onlookers fun, food, drink, and the opportunity to support a good cause.

Join us Saturday, September 7, 2019, from 11:30 a.m. to about 6:00 p.m. Our location is beautiful and historic Normandy Village in Normal, Illinois. Recently added to the National Register of Historic Places, Normandy Village offers grassy lawns, gazebos, picnic tables, the shade of big old trees, classic architecture, and a big group of happy people playing bocce.

Register your two-person team today to compete (in a friendly way) on September 7. At check-in that day, both teammates will receive custom "Bocce at the Village 2019" t-shirts (cost included in your registration fee). You also get a chance to achieve immortal bocce glory. This is a double-elimination tournament, so every team plays at least two games, no matter how good you are.

If you don't want to play bocce ball, just show up to cheer for the teams! The day will feature live music, food and drink for sale, and the jolly company of good people having fun to benefit a deserving cause.

Two non-profit organizations will benefit from this year's tournament: Bloom Community School and Mulberry School. These are two great local, independent schools in the Normandy Village neighborhood, following in the educational tradition of the former Illinois Soldiers and Sailors Children's School, of which Normandy Village was once a part.

We look forward to your joining us on September 7 for Bocce at the Village 2019!
