Join Biologists from SCDNR, Clemson Extension, Quail Forever as they explore how to integrate management of brood fields to increase fall survival of turkey poults and qual chicks


Time: Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Program runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Classroom sessions include:

  • Benefits of annual ragweed and partridge pea plots for quail chicks and turkey poults
  • Site and size recommendations
  • Post establishment management techniques
  • Supplemental feeding route planning and implementation

The afternoon sessions will be held in the field with topics including:

  • Native plant identification and wildlife value
  • Overview of forestry and agricultural management practices on the property.
