Bring a friend and join us at MTG Card Market, located at 1051 W Belmont Ave, for our weekly board game night! This week's featured game will be Forbidden Desert, a cooperative game involving exploration and resource management. If you've never joined us before, open gaming takes place every Thursday from when the store opens at 2pm until the store closes around 10pm. In addition, a guided demonstration of the featured game will start at 6:30pm. Not only are these demos a great way to learn new games, but they're also great for meeting new people! During open gaming, feel free to bring a favorite from home or borrow one from our lending library that gets bigger every month! Board game night is FREE and you can stay for as many games as you'd like. We hope to see everyone there!
I love board games, but I hate Forbidden Desert. Can I still come?
Yes, you are more than welcome! The featured game is only offered as an opportunity for players to play an old favorite or try something new. We have plenty of other games to play, and you can always bring your own!
Do you take suggestions for future featured games?
Yes, always! If you have a suggestion for a game we should feature, talk to Jocelyn (a member of MTG Card Market staff) about it and we'll try our best to make it happen!
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
There are no ID requirements or age limits, but we ask that children under the age of 13 get a parent or guardian's permission to stay later than 10pm. Unsupervised minors will also need to secure transportation ahead of time as the store will be closing at midnight.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
MTG Card Market is located a few blocks away from the Red, Purple, and Brown line trains off the Belmont stop, as well as directly in front of the #77 bus. The store is also a mile away from the Belmont exit on Lakeshore Drive. Attendees who will be driving can secure long-term parking by using apps like ParkWhiz or SpotHero.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Please do not bring any alcoholic beverages to this event as we are trying to keep it family-friendly.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
You can call the store at (773) 697-7238 or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org!
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Tickets will not be checked at the door for the event, and they are also transferrable. Feel free to bring a friend!
