Being a nonprofit Board Chair is a critical role as well as being challenging to achieve effective leadership. Some folks reluctantly sign on while others have years of experience. Regardless of board tenure, there is always more to learn.

Emily Davis Consulting has designed a unique peer-learning group specifically designed for nonprofit board chairs. Join this dynamic cohort and collaborate to learn and share resources with other board chairs on how to successfully build vision, strategically guide the organization, and create accountability. Access best practices in board governance and leadership while also hearing stories to help improve your board service – we want to set you and your organization up for success.

The cohort will meet monthly for four months and determine topics for discussion such as:

• Board member roles and responsibilities
• Understanding board and staff leadership
• Creating board accountability
• Managing conflict and handling hard conversations
• Building healthy board culture
• Ensuring resources for success
• Facilitating great meetings
• Board member recruitment and retention

Are there requirements to participate?

Cohort participants must either be currently serving as the board chair/president of a nonprofit organization or as the incoming chair/president of a nonprofit organization.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Impact Hub Boulder is located at 1877 Broadway, Suite 100. It is at the Garden Level on the Southwest corner of Broadway and Walnut in the Randolph building. There is metered parking, garage parking, and is near the bus line.
