BOARD Member Orientation - Saturday, April 22, 2017
Congratulations again on your appointment/reappointment as a member to one of the District of Columbia's more than 160 boards, commissions or task forces! Every commission in the District does important work on behalf of our residents and each of you, by virtue of your appointment, is an agent of the District of Columbia government.
In collaboration with the Mayor's Office of General Counsel (OGC) and the Board of Ethics and Government Accountability (BEGA), this board member ethics session will provide an overview of the law and provide best practices to ensure adherence to DC's open government and ethics laws. Your participation in the training will help you understand the various ethics rules that apply to your position. Please note, pursuant to policy of the Mayor’s Office of Talent and Appointments, you are required to complete the Board Ethics Seminar within ninety (90) days of confirmation or appointment.
During the session, participations will receive an overview and hands-on experience, in addition to having ability to ask specific questions. Please RSVP for this session by completing the information below. If you have any questions, or need more information, please contact MOTA at 202-727-1372 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
