The AWIS Greater Baltimore Chapter is beyond excited to present “B’more Women in STEM vs. COVID-19”, a virtual panel featuring the women in STEM behind important COVID-19 research currently ongoing in Baltimore. Come hear women scientists of different STEM disciplines (epidemiology, microbiology, chemistry, computer science) discuss their work, which includes making a smartphone app that tracks COVID-19 hotspots, analyzing data on COVID-19 prejudice against Chinese-Americans, and searching for potential vaccines and therapeutics against COVID-19.

This event will be held virtually over Zoom and is open to members AND non-members! Join us on June 5th to hear these brilliant scientists talk about their research, their experience with working on one of the biggest events of our lifetime, and their journey as women in STEM.

The Greater Baltimore Chapter of the Association for Women in Science (AWIS) supports the advancement of women in STEM fields by promoting and facilitating career development, mentoring, and leadership activities in Baltimore and its surrounding areas.
